Configuring Attendant Console in UCM 5+

The process below applies to Communications Manager 5.x/6.x/7.x, though attendant console is only supported on upgrades from prior version of UCM.

Create an ‘ac’ application user with a password of ‘12345’. Assign the following groups to the Application User account:

  • Standard CTI Allow Control of All Devices
  • Standard CTI Allow Call Park Monitoring
  • Standard CTI Enabled

Do NOT associate any devices to the Application User account.

Create an ‘ACDeviceUser’ application user with a password of ‘12345’. Associate attendant phones to this account.
No group assignments are required.

Go Service Parameters for Unified Call Manager Attendant Console and verify the AC user and Device Authentication User match the two accounts above. If not, udpate the usernames to match.

Access the Serviceabilty webpage and restart the Cisco Call Manager Attendant Console service on each server running the service.
